When one of his trade mark cases became the subject of a media frenzy in 2012, Jamie and Pod Legal were propelled into the public eye. Successfully trade marking a sweary play-on-words for a snack brand, Jamie soon found himself named in news publications in over a dozen countries.
Arguing the case of swear words aside, Jamie now provides expert legal commentary for News Limited, SBS News and a plethora of national media outlets. He’s also an expert columnist for the Australia Post Stories website and Acuity Magazine, belonging to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Jamie in Education
An Adjunct Teaching Fellow at the Bond University Faculty of Law, Jamie has written and delivered the syllabus for E-Commerce & the Law, which is a specialist subject taught at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.

Karan White is Owner and Business Director of Pod Legal. She has extensive business management experience across a broad range of industries, both in Australia and internationally, including the United States, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Karan is accustomed to reporting to Boards and has held in excess of 40 committee management positions and various executive management roles.
Throughout her career, Karan has been the recipient of numerous professional awards. Very highly regarded by her peers, Karan continues to receive accolades for her commitment to mentoring business women and for her enthusiasm for improvement.
